It's Sunday and I went to a fancy bookstore by our home with one of my girlfriends. It's raining and we both felt like a big mug of tea and a great book. Unfortunately, we've both read all of mine. So off we went to expensive part of town... The mall. I was immediately drawn to the cover of this book due to my vast love for bees. I started to read one of the poems inside, before I knew it, I was crying in the aisle of a packed bookstore. Luckily the sales clerk told me she had the same response and she loved the book so much she reread it often just to have the same feelings. Books are sometimes the only way for us to be able to connect with certain feelings. Rupi Kaur is a beautifully tragic poet, who writes from the depths of her soul. Through her writing you get a glimpse of the pain she went through in her life. It is exquisite and heartbreaking all at once. I loved this book and I will own a copy always. |
