I'm a sucker for a good love story and there is something insanely romantic about a man that goes off to war and the love that he leaves behind. She will wait for him, loving him from a distance and when they are finally reunited, they will never want to be apart again. They know what life is like without one another, they have both lived through their own hell and refuse to do it again... Until the military says so and then, much like before (though each deployment is different) one will go and one will stay. Maybe, just maybe, they will be together again... One day.
Being and Army wife is a part of my life that I'm proud of. I've met some of the most amazingly strong women and we've been stationed in beautiful places. My husband has proudly served 14 years active duty as an Infantryman in the United States Army and we are still loving the life and living each day to its fullest. He is not only my best friend and my husband, he's also a hero and an amazing partner.
I fell in love with this book far before I read the first page... Though I had to wait to purchase it because I wouldn't allow myself to spend over twenty dollars on a copy. Finally, Thrift books sent me an email stating they recieved a copy and it was only $7.41. I thought I would scream I was so excited. I ordered it instantly, from my phone on the bus on my way to Seattle with my parents and my husband.
I read the entire book in one night and then, the next night, I had to read it again... All these couples, so in love in time of war. Separated without texts, emails, Skype even! They would hand write a letter and hope it got there. Military mail takes for, ever!
I loved this book, so much. I reccomend it to anyone and everyone.
Happy Reading!
